IB. Energy Agency was founded as a division of Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein in 1991.

The targets of IB. Energy Agency are the efficient use of energy, the development and deployment of innovative energy technologies, energy-saving measures and the use of renewable energies. These future-oriented measures will not only make an important contribution to climate protection in Europe but will also strengthen Schleswig-Holstein as an attractive business location.

IB. Energy Agency is committed to offering a broad range of services such as:

• consulting and planning in organisational, financing and funding questions
• information on technical and economic possibilities for the efficient use of energy and renewable energy sources
• consulting on redevelopment measures for public buildings including residential ones
• consulting, realisation and documentation of pilot and demonstration projects
• introduction and implementation of energy management and controlling
• assistance with fairs, presentations and further training

The services of IB. Energy Agency are directed at regional, local and municipal authorities, public utilities, ministries and public administrative bodies, public corporations, non-profit enterprises, small- and medium-sized craft and trade businesses, the house building and construction industry and various interest groups and organisations.
