EU activities of Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein
IB is Schleswig-Holstein´s competence centre for consulting and for the financial management of EU funding programmes for companies, research institutions and the public sector.
Within its EU activities IB provides
- Consulting on EU funding programmes and general EU matters by its Enterprise Europe Network Hamburg Schleswig- Holstein
- Direct contact to EU institutions by its representatives in Brussels
- Grants co-financed by EU Structural Funds programmes
IB.Enterprise Europe Network
IB is part of the largest European network, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), and leads the consortium of Enterprise Europe Network Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein with its partners Wirtschafts- and Technologietransfer Schleswig-Holstein GmbH, TuTech Innovation GmbH and Innovationsstiftung Hamburg. The network, established by the European Commission, consists of more than 100 consortia with about 600 partners and 3,000 experienced staff in approximately 40 European countries. The network supports and informs science and industry in all matters concerning the European Union.

- Consultancy on the appropriate funding programme for your project idea – from the Intelligent Energy Europe programme to the 7th Research Framework Programme (FP7)

- Establishing contacts for customers, suppliers, operators and development partners all over Europe

IB.Representative Office Brussels
Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein has had a representative office in Brussels since October 1998. We have direct access to the European institutions and decision-makers in Brussels and we transfer the necessary information to our customers and partners in Schleswig-Holstein. We also support enterprises in presenting their matters at European level.

EU funding programmes in the Baltic Sea Region
Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein has been responsible for the implementation of various EU funding programmes in the Baltic Sea region for more than 10 years.
The Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007 – 2013 funds transnational cooperation projects focusing on innovations, improving accessibility, managing environmental resources and strengthening cities and regions in the Baltic Sea region. The total programme funding is approximately 236 million euros. IB acts as the Managing and Certifying Authority in this programme. More information can be found at eu.baltic.net.
IB hosts the Programme´s Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS), located in Rostock and Riga, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the programme. JTS consults and supports potential and on-going projects. JTS supports the tasks of the programme´s Monitoring Committee, IB as Managing and Certifying Authority, the Audit Authority and the national subcommittees.
